After the 18th and 19th National Congress of the CPC, "Adhering to the basic national policy of equality between men and women and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children" was written into the report of the Party's congress for the third time, which shows that the Party has always attached great importance to the cause of women. Grass-root women's committees should continue to improve the attractiveness, cohesion and combat effectiveness of women's federations, better perform the function of leading service contacts, and unite and mobilize women workers to unswervingly listen to and follow the Party.
In order to integrate thoughts and actions into the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, and lead female teachers to be builders of great cause, advocates of civilization and fashion, and strivers who dare to pursue dreams, the Women's Committee of the School of Public Health responded to the organization of the Women's Committee of the School to carry out the "Women's Heart to the Party to welcome the 20th CPC National Congress" women's family project establishment activity. On November 3, the Women's Committee of the College of Public Health, in combination with the professional characteristics of the college, and based on the needs of the faculty and staff, jointly with the associate professor Yang Shuman of the college, organized the "Caring for Teachers and Students • Bone Health - Bone Density Detection" activity, aiming to promote the majority of teachers and students to understand their own bone density status and improve bone health.
Osteoporosis is the most common bone disease. It is a systemic bone disease characterized by low bone mass, bone tissue microstructure damage, increased bone fragility and easy fracture. It is mainly seen in postmenopausal women and elderly men. Because changes in bone mass are usually difficult to detect, and are often detected and diagnosed when fractures occur, osteoporosis is also known as a "silent epidemic".
At the activity site, the staff measured bone mineral density for teachers and students free of charge, conducted fracture risk assessment, and provided advice on daily diet and physical exercise. The activity was unanimously praised by the college teachers and students, which not only enhanced the teachers and students' in-depth understanding of osteoporosis, but also improved the health care awareness of bone health.
