Sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association and the radiation medicine and protection branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and co sponsored by the third people's Hospital of Guizhou Province, the 11th academic exchange meeting on Radiation Medicine and protection of the Chinese Medical Association was held in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province from December 12 to 14, 2018 More than 280 representatives from 62 units and enterprises including centers for Disease Control and prevention attended the meeting. Led by Professor Jin shunzi, associate professors Shen Yannan, Wang Zhicheng and 5 postgraduates attended the conference.

During this period, the Organization Department of Chinese Medical Association organized the 11th general meeting of the Committee of radiation medicine and protection branch of Chinese Medical Association. After several rounds of voting, 26 standing committee members and 4 vice-chairman members were elected from 77 National Committee members. Researcher Su Xu of China CDC Institute of nuclear safety and radiation was elected as chairman, and researcher Liu Qingjie was elected as later chairman. Professor Jin shunzi, as a representative of Northeast China, was elected to the Standing Committee.

The conference set up academic exchanges in the form of invited reports, conference reports, branch reports and excellent papers selection. Our hospital submitted a total of 15 papers and abstracts. Professor Jin shunzi made a conference report on "the role of MLL5 and EZH2 mediated histone methylation in the radiation resistance of lung cancer cells". In the selection of excellent papers, Dr. Wei Wei, Associate Professor Wang Zhicheng and associate professor Shen Yannan won the first, second and third prizes of excellent papers respectively, and won the praise of domestic peers. They won honor for the school of public health of Jilin University and made contributions to improving the popularity of our college's radiation medicine profession.
