In order to meet the special needs of the epidemic period and improve the ability of Jilin Province to deal with public health emergencies, Jilin University was entrusted by the Department of human resources and social security of Jilin Province and the Health Committee of Jilin Province to prepare the "Jilin Province public health assistant service professional skills evaluation standard (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as the "standard").

The school of public health of Jilin University and the Institute of health of Jilin University were the main drafting units, and a compilation group of 10 professional teachers, including Professor Li Bo, Professor Xu Kun, Associate Professor Zhou Liting, Associate Professor Wang Juan, lecturer Li Hui, associate professor Zhen Qing and associate professor Song Xiuling, was quickly formed with Professor Li Fan, Professor Li Juan and Professor Liu Yawen as the leading core. Based on the occupational classification canon of the people's Republic of China (2015 Edition), and in strict accordance with the relevant requirements of the national technical regulations for the preparation of occupational skills standards (2018 Edition), the preparation team has completed the specification for the occupational skills of three types of work, including epidemic prevention worker, disinfector and public health administrator, It was approved by Jilin Provincial Department of human resources and social security and Jilin Provincial Health Committee on March 3, 2020, and printed and distributed on March 5, 2020.

The formulation of this "standard" is not only to meet the special needs of the epidemic period, but also to implement the supporting measures of "Jilin Province to improve the ability to deal with major public health emergencies and carry out professional skills training program for public health assistant attendants"; It is also an important measure to strengthen the construction of public health and epidemic prevention talents in Jilin Province and improve the ability of Jilin Province to deal with public health emergencies. It can not only meet the actual needs of winning the current epidemic prevention and control war, but also focus on the long term, and reserve a number of basic epidemic prevention talents for our province to deal with major public health emergencies.

The promulgation of this "standard" not only fills the gap that there is no national vocational skill standard for public health assistant attendants at the national level, but also provides the basis for relevant departments to carry out the training of public health emergency response.
