On November 24, 2020, ESI updated the latest statistical data. In this statistics, the general introduction of Social Sciences of Jilin University has become the 18th discipline in the top 1% of ESI. The ESI data collected 284 articles on general introduction of Social Sciences, which were cited 1648 times, with an average of 5.8 times.
In April 2016, Professor Liu Yawen's team published the paper "prevalency of metabolic syndrome in mainland China: a meta-analysis of published studies" in BMC public health, which was selected as the top papers of the General Social Sciences (top 1% of the papers cited in this discipline), and was cited 80 times, accounting for 5% of the total papers cited in the general social sciences. Professor Liu Yawen's scientific research team has formed a number of high-quality academic achievements after years of in-depth research in the direction of chronic disease prevention and control. The inclusion of this article in ESI top papers indicates that the achievements have attracted the attention and recognition of international peers, formed a certain international academic influence, and played a role in promoting the construction of public health discipline in our university.
