A total of 51 courses in our university have been recognized as national first-class undergraduate courses. The course "health chemistry" in charge of Professor Li Juan of the school of public health has been selected as the offline first-class course, realizing the breakthrough of zero national courses in the school of public health《 Health chemistry is a professional basic course of preventive medicine, which plays an important role in the curriculum system of preventive medicine.
The person in charge of the course of health chemistry is Professor Li Juan, who is the recipient of special government allowance of the State Council and a famous teacher of Bethune in Jilin University. The teaching team structure is reasonable, young and experienced. The goal of this course is to cultivate high-quality public health talents with coordinated development of knowledge, ability and quality. Through strengthening the construction of teaching materials, adjusting the syllabus, optimizing the teaching content and other measures to ensure the quality of teaching. On the basis of "three basics and five natures", we should increase the content of modern health analysis and the proportion of design experiments, build a multi-level and progressive practice teaching system integrating basic experiments, comprehensive design experiments, graduation practice and field practice, cultivate students' innovative spirit, and improve the high-level and challenge of the course. At the same time, it introduces the history, responsibility and mission of public health, refines the ideological and political elements, and combines professional teaching with quality education.
Since the preventive medicine major of our college was selected into the first batch of national first-class undergraduate majors in 2020, our college has strengthened the professional construction and curriculum construction, focused on the construction of a number of online courses and teaching demonstration courses, actively applied for provincial high-level curriculum construction projects, and made efforts to create a number of "solid foundation, students' favorite, characteristic" and "innovative" courses with the help of the transformation period of curriculum construction We should actively promote the application of national first-class undergraduate courses, make up for the shortcomings of the college's curriculum construction, further improve the teaching quality of the college, and cultivate high-quality public health talents.
