The teaching and research section of medical law was established in 2005. Currently, Professor Yang Shujuan is the director of the teaching and research section. There are five full-time teaching staff in the teaching and research section, including one professor, one associate professor and three lecturers. Among them, there are 3 people with doctoral degree.

Teachers in the teaching and research section have done a lot of work in teaching, scientific research and external services.

In terms of teaching, the teachers of the teaching and research section undertake the teaching tasks of more than 20 undergraduate and graduate courses. The teaching objects include: preventive medicine, health inspection, radiation medicine, clinical medicine, medical "5 + 3", public health postgraduates, social medicine and health management postgraduates, etc. in addition, excellent medical general courses are offered and the graduation practice guidance of preventive students is undertaken. The teaching effect was well received by the students and the teaching supervision group.

In the past five years, teachers of the teaching and research section have won 5 teaching reform projects of Jilin University and Bethune Medical Department, and 2 school level teaching awards (ideological and political demonstration course and excellent classroom teaching award).

As for the compilation of teaching materials, the teachers of the teaching and research section have edited or participated in the compilation of more than 10 teaching materials or treatises, including one planning teaching material for the people's Health Publishing House as the chief editor and one teaching material for the higher education publishing house as the deputy chief editor.

In terms of scientific research, in the past five years, the teachers of medical law department have undertaken more than 20 projects at all levels, published more than 30 Chinese and English papers, and participated in 3 academic works as deputy editors and editors.

In the past five years, the teaching and Research Office has held many academic activities, such as scientific research conferences, lectures by famous experts at home and abroad, to effectively promote the academic vision and academic exchanges between teachers and students.

In terms of external services, the teachers of the medical law teaching and research section are responsible for the National Health Commission, local governments and provincial and municipal health commissions, as well as the legal consultation, professional training, legislative consultation, risk assessment, expert argumentation, planning writing and other think tank services of more medical institutions.

In terms of external part-time jobs, medical law teachers have a certain academic status and influence in the national and provincial professional fields. He served as vice president of China health law society, chairman of Health Law Committee of Jilin health society, and director of Medical Humanities Center of Bethune Medical Department.
