On September 12, 2024, the 30th session of the Young Scholars Association (YSA) activity was successfully held in the second-floor Radiobiology Conference Room at the School of Public Health, Jilin University. This exchange was conducted under the framework of the Ministry of Education's Joint Construction Project for High-Level Public Health Schools between Jilin University and Xinjiang Medical University, and was held in a hybrid format (online and offline). More than 20 young faculty members and graduate students from both schools participated.
This exchange activity invited Ms. Tian Tian from the School of Public Health, Xinjiang Medical University, whose main research direction is the epidemiology and disease burden of HPV infection at non-cervical sites and related diseases among sexual minority groups. In recent years, Ms. Tian Tian has presided over and participated in dozens of research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the Autonomous Region Natural Science Foundation, and open projects of the State Key Laboratory jointly established by the province and the ministry. She has also published 12 SCI papers as first author (including co-authors), of which 7 are high-level papers.
Ms. Tian Tian shared her research under the theme "Epidemiology and Disease Burden of HPV Infection at Non-Cervical Sites and Related Diseases," presenting the current status of HPV infection among patients with various diseases globally and in China, and introducing its distribution characteristics among populations with different features and the resulting disease burden. Young scholars from both schools subsequently engaged in lively discussions around Ms. Tian Tian's research and expressed anticipation for further collaboration. This activity promoted young scholars' understanding and in-depth discussion of HPV infection at non-cervical sites, and also provided a platform for better future exchanges and cooperation between the two schools.
