On November 12, 2025, the 38th session of the Young Scholars Association (YSA) activity was successfully held in the second-floor Radiobiology Conference Room at the School of Public Health, Jilin University. This event featured Wu Hao, a doctoral candidate from the Department of Radiobiology at our School and General Manager of Jilin Guojian Life Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. With 15 years of experience in the cell and gene therapy field, she has long been dedicated to the development of cellular resources, research and development of regenerative medicine products, and the construction of quality systems. The event adopted a hybrid format (online and offline), with over ten young faculty members from both sides participating.
Taking the intersection of public health and translational medicine as her starting point, Wu Hao analyzed specific cases of cellular resource utilization and regenerative medicine products, profoundly revealing the tremendous potential of this field in improving population health, delaying aging, and preventing and treating major diseases. With "translation" as the core focus, she systematically explained how to build standardized processes, achieve full-chain traceability, and improve quality systems to bridge the pathway from basic research to industrial implementation. She also guided the attending young faculty members toward actionable directions for interdisciplinary and industrial integration, using cutting-edge trends and innovative cases as examples. Following the presentation, young faculty members engaged in lively discussions on topics such as standardized process construction, patent application, and commercialization of research outcomes.
This event provided a platform for young faculty members from both sides to focus on interdisciplinary and industrial integration, broadened their perspectives on the frontiers of public health and translational medicine, and stimulated innovative thinking aimed at addressing the health needs of the population. The exchange activity fostered a growth ecosystem of interdisciplinary integration, injecting new momentum into the research capacity enhancement and career development of young faculty members.
