On May 20, 2026, the 40th session of the Young Scholars Association (YSA) activity was successfully held in the second-floor Radiobiology Conference Room of the School of Public Health, Jilin University. This exchange activity focused on the integrated development of interdisciplinary research and had the privilege of inviting Associate Professor Guo Ye from the School of Life Sciences of our university to deliver an academic lecture. More than 20 young faculty members and graduate students from our School participated in this interdisciplinary academic exchange activity.
Associate Professor Guo Ye primarily researches the regulatory mechanisms of cerebral cortex development, and the pathogenic mechanisms of neurodevelopmental defects in neuropsychiatric and metabolic diseases. Under the theme "Analysis of Neuropathological Mechanisms of Lysine Metabolism Disorder-Related Diseases," he shared his research on the regulatory mechanisms of amino acid metabolism defects (such as lysine) in cerebral cortex development and their pathogenic mechanisms in neuropsychiatric disorders, comprehensively presenting his research group's findings and scientific approaches. Subsequently, the young faculty and students present engaged in active discussion around Associate Professor Guo's research, expressing their willingness for interdisciplinary collaboration and research enthusiasm. This activity effectively broadened the young faculty and students' understanding of amino acid metabolism-related research contents and methods, and provided a platform for future interdisciplinary integration and collaborative research.
