In order to deeply implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era, and to inspire young people to strive for success in the process of Chinese-style modernization, on May 1st, the School of Public Health organized both graduate and undergraduate students to actively participate in the fifth Youth Health Run, themed “Passing on the Torch, Running Towards Revitalization,” hosted by the Jilin University Student Union.

The event set up 10 checkpoints on the main campus of Jilin University, located at representative landmark buildings on campus. Centered around the key areas inspected by General Secretary Xi Jinping, the checkpoints covered themes such as “Food Security,” “Ecological Protection,” “Livelihood Security,” “National Unity,” “Red Spirit,” “National Defense Security,” “Open Development,” “Ice and Snow Economy,” “Industrial Upgrading,” and “Technological Innovation.” The total route was approximately 5.4 kilometers, starting from the track and field stadium on the main campus. Along the way, it connected the context of development and the marks of the times, closely integrating the passion of running with the spirit of striving. This guided teachers and students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs and gather youthful energy while tracing the footsteps. Following the starting signal, students ran across the campus in the morning sunshine, shouldering the journey of youth side by side. They encouraged each other, cooperated, and left firm footprints and bright smiles at every checkpoint.

Running is not only a physical exercise but also a transmission of belief. Through diverse themes along the route, young students measured their mission with their steps, practiced their original aspirations with their actions, released their passion through sweat, and wrote the striving chapter of young people in the new era with concrete actions.
